This is White Shell Woman, creator of the Navajo people and gave them their home, gift of corn and other food bearing plants. She gave them the gifts of animals, rain and beautiful flowers. With the Sun, she is the mother of Killer-of-Enemies and Child-of -the-Water, the dual protectors of the People from their enemies. She is said to be a younger version of Changing Woman also a benevolent figure who also brings abundance.
Both bringing harmony, wisdom of the nature of things, understanding the cycles of birth and death. I get lost in the energy of these pictures. Getting back on the path, and feeling my place in the whole scheme of things.

These cards are so lovely! Is the second image of the Sun?
ReplyDeleteI did a meditation with my sacred wheel this weekend in honor of the new moon. It brought some insights as to how I can live more in balance.
Cool on the meditation. That is what it is all about. Changing Woman received her name because she can change at will fromla baby to a girl to a young woman to and old woman and then back again. Very much alive today, she is a tremendously nourishing goddess who teaches the wisdom of nature and the cycles of birth and death
